I have been very pleased with my physical therapy. Priya Ramakrishnan is great. She listened intently and put a plan of action together, that is addressing both range of motion and pain management. She is great!

I came from back surgery and have been working with physical therapist Vishnu Priya. She is doing a wonderful job getting me back in shape to return to work. I'm back at work now and continuing to get better. I will tell my friends and anyone who needs physical therapy to be sure they go to Priya. She is just great.

After a year of alternative (spinal decompression) treatment for a herniated disc, which caused severe neck/shoulder pain and numbness in my hand, I found myself back where I started. I had a severely herniated cervical disc needing replacement. After much deliberation and research, I finally came to grips with the need for surgery, and decided to move forward.

I chose Dr Benae (after consulting other surgeons) because he was a top rated neurosurgeon in the Dallas area, and while it was not a deciding factor, I was happy to see that their office was only minutes away from my home. After consultation with Dr Benae, I felt confident that he and his team at North Texas Brain and Spine were the ones to trust with my procedure (cervical disc replacement) and recovery.

I had disc replacement surgery on July 1st, and knew by the time I was discharged the next morning, that I’d made the right decision. I felt instantly better, as the pressure on my nerves was alleviated, and with it went much of my pain and numbness. After a couple weeks of recovery at home, I began my physical therapy with Priya. We discussed my rehab plan...and my goal of getting back on the golf course. Priya gave me exercises to do at home, and worked with me closely during my visits, to get me back into “game” shape. I am happy to report, that I was given the green light Monday (September 21st) to resume full activities.

Making the decision to have surgery is a tough one, no question. But I’ve absolutely no regrets, and am very happy with the results. I can’t recommend Dr Benae, Priya, and the rest of the team at North Texas Brain and Spine highly enough. After suffering through a rough last 18 months, I’m finally pain-free, and back to doing the things I love again. I doubt the smile will leave my face this Sunday, when I play my first round of golf since November.
