I LOVE this doctor. She listens and then she gives you options for your care. She refers to doctors she would use for her family. And when I needed a cardiologist a couple of years ago to establish a relationship for the rest of my life, she chose the person she wanted for her own father. She takes her time and never rushes you in and out of an appointment. Remember to schedule a solid hour, as she will sit and talk to you to get your health plan put in place.
The only reason I have not given her a 5 star rating is because she does not come to visit you at the hospital. In 2021 I was in the hospital and then rehab many times dealing with COVID, then complications and then Long Haul COVID. I would have loved to see her just once during may 7 visits within 5 months. However my care was handled by the Infectious Disease specialist. so she did not need to visit me. She knew I was in the hospital because I called her to tell her and so did my husband. She let the specialists do their jobs. I would just have loved to see her or get a call from her, but she did not do that.
If you want an excellent doctor who works with Geriatric patients, she is the best. She works with UT Southwestern to stay up on the latest procedures and concerns. It makes a difference.
I had a doctor who put me on Metformin because my A1C was 6.5 and stayed there even with diet changes. When I changed to Dr. Blessing, she immediately took me off of that as it was not necessary!! The protocols change as you age and my previous doctor treated me like I was still in my 50's not in my 70's.
She is a Godsend. I love her and will never change doctors again as she is one of the best in Dallas.
