After total knee replacement surgery two months ago I am able to climb stairs, walk without pain, and play golf again. Jack, physical therapist at Clair gets the credit for this. He is very good at pushing just enough so improvement comes quickly. He’s also just a nice guy. All of the employees at Clair are friendly and courteous. Thank you!

3 ½ years ago I tore my right rotator cuff pretty badly. I decided to go to Dr. William Burns II MD for an examination and a surgical repair. (Look up my review for Dr. Burns for the specifics of my excellent experience with him.) Post-surgery Dr. Burns sent me to CLAIR Physical Therapy in Plano for recovery.

Now I have been to a few physical therapy centers before. My experience with physical therapy centers has always been about the same though no matter where I go. They are a borderline depressing place, everyone just sort of keeps to themselves, it’s just a basic list of “do this, then that, then this, then that” over and over each appointment…and the entire process takes forever to see a tiny improvement. Ultimately they tend to feel like a waste of time that doesn’t actually improve things all that much over the healing power of an extended period of time.

My time at CLAIR Physical therapy could not have been more of a polar opposite!

The therapist I was assigned to turned out to be the owner, Bob Clair. Bob has managed to assemble a skilled staff of upbeat and energetic therapists and assistants who all have great positive attitudes, they are are incredibly friendly and they do a fantastic job of motivating their clients. I witnessed this 3 times a week and soon found all of us (the patients) would get to learn each other’s names and jump in motivating each other further. It was an environment I realized as each week went on was truly unique.

Bob himself is amazingly skilled, and is a true craftsman at his trade. Every visit he would change things up, and he knew exactly how far to push me to get maximum results without potentially re-injuring myself. And when I was doing my exercises and he was directly working with another patient I would watch and see that magic happen with each of his patients, as well as the patients of the other therapists that were there such as Anna and Mark. Each session I got stronger, had more movement and I saw it wasn’t just me that was improving (and improving quickly), it was ALL of the center’s patients! All I did on my end was show up and do what they told me to do, nothing unusual or out of the ordinary on my part.

As odd as it may seem for someone needing to take time out of my busy schedule 3 times a week to visit a therapy center, I grew to actually look forward to my visit every other day. I would never have guessed that I would look forward to a THERAPY session in a million years, but it’s the honest truth.

My rotator cuff was a worse tear than normal. I remember Dr. Burns explaining it wasn’t the worst one he had ever seen, but it was up there. However I am proud to say that after a mere 3 months working with Bob Clair (and a couple of times with Anna and Mark), I had 100% motion in my arm again! I couldn’t believe it, and when I look back I still have a hard time believing it, but the dates don’t lie.

I am now 8 months out from surgery and about 4 months since my last visit to see Bob, and I genuinely believe I now have complete and full strength back in my right arm again as well, and all that at only 8 months from the surgery date! Other than a few tiny surgical incision marks on my shoulder as proof, it is as if the entire rotator cuff injury never happened.

From everyone I have spoken to regarding rotator cuff tears and physical therapy, the consensus is that my recovery was tremendously fast, but I attribute that to having a highly skilled doctor and an equally skilled therapist. Such a phenomenal recovery wouldn’t be possible without both!

I don’t even know how to express in words how spectacularly and phenomenally happy I am with my time and treatment at CPT. If you are reading this because you need physical therapy for an injury or perhaps a surgical recovery, I defy anyone to find a better place for miraculous treatment than CLAIR Physical Therapy. Everyone there is absolutely amazing!

THANK YOU BOB CLAIR AND YOUR ENTIRE TEAM!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF THE BEST!

I began using Clair Physical Therapy a couple of weeks ago for my ACL repair PT. I have to say I am very impressed with the Staff who has a strong dedication and commitment towards getting their patients back to normal. Bob is very attentive and an excellent therapist himself. Since going, I have improved vastly with my knee and my walking. I have a great Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Randall Troop in Plano, who was impressed with my healing. I have more to go, but I am in good hands. I highly recommend this place for your PT of shoulder, back, knee, and other parts your doctor prescribed!!

I been using Clair physical therapy for almost 15 years since moving here to Texas. They have treated me for knee, shoulder, and back problems with excellent results. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Bob Clair the owner has always been available to take my phone calls and answer all of my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Clair to anyone needing physical rehabilitation.

I was referred here by my doctor for knee issues, and I couldn’t be happier that I came here. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they helped me uncover and actually understand the cause of my knee issues. After six week or so, all issues were resolved and I had full functionality again.
