I LOVED THIS HOTEL. Super nice faculty and owner. Very attentive. Pool was amazing n opened. It started raining n they closed it up, but they sure did open back up after it stopped. Wow. Ty so much. My daughter's graduation before n after was amazing. N the BREAKFAST WOW YUMMY, NOT that brown bag to go, lol.
All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was well taken care of and clean with both a mini fridge and microwave. The pool area is welcoming and even has a spa lift with great placement at the rear of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and fresh, even nearing the end of service. Will definitely stay here the next trip we take!
The hotel's clean, the staff is nice, The breakfast was not to my liking -- but I appreciated the gesture. I didn't give 5 stars because there was an issue with my check in and I had to pay for another room. Now I'm having to battle to get my money back through booking.com, a 3rd party service. That shouldn't be my problem I shouldn't have been charged for another room I should have been able to check in and then they deal with the situation. They are the ones who contract these 3rd party companies to post their vacant rooms I had already paid I had a confirmation for a room and yet I had but I had to deal with this issue for half an hour and it was already 2 AM just trying to check in. I had originally prepaid for the room so all I had to do was get keys. I was exhausted. There was no offer to give me an extended check out say past noon. This would have been very helpful but no they were knocking on my door at 11. If I paid for a room at 2:30 in the morning it sounds to me like it was the next day so I should have been able to rent the room as if it was the next day and not had to check out at 11 at all As it stands now I paid over $200 for an OK room for a10 hour stay. Over all I don't think I'd stay there again.
The reason for that is the hospitality industry is supposed to anticipate guests needs and while the staff was nice, no one thought that this was the wrong way to treat a guests. There's no hospitality--I was there too make sure they were paid and that I followed their rules.
5-stars for a Comfort Inn since it was as expected
April, 2022 - 2 night stay in King room
Pros:
Staff were pleasant/helpful and room service came by both mornings. Breakfast (the usual: sausage, eggs, biscuits/gravy, cereal, pastries; vegetarian proteins also offered) was provided in main lobby as expected and no issues with noise levels or parking. The ice and vending machines work (bring cash for vending in case card reader is not working). Designated Smoking areas in front and back of hotel with benches.
King room was large with mini fridge, microwave, single cup coffee pot, closet, and work area. AC unit and water pressure/temp were good.
Cons:
King size bed was a fairly firm 12” thick spring mattress
