“After researching and visiting multiple childcare facilities, Genstar Montessori were absolutely the best option for our little girl. As a first time mom I was very nervous leaving my daughter with someone I didn't know, even though I strongly believe in childcare for building social skills. Our infant daughter started at 3 months and immediately she was welcomed and loved by her teachers and all staff. She was always greeted by her name and we noticed as months went on her progress jumped tremendously. It was amazing to know that she was learning from the best and overcoming milestones with ease. Communication with everyone was very simple as they have an app along with email. We are sad to leave the Genstar family as we are moving to another city. We recommend anyone who is thinking about childcare to the staff at Genstar Montessori. We are sad to leave, and incredibly thankful for their care of our daughter. It's a bitter sweet moment.”

“If you like Chicken Gyros, do yourself a favor and try the chicken gyro sandwich. It was so delicious. It had garlic mayo, feta, cucumber, onion and grilled chicken. It was an absolute delight. I also had the cheddar smokehouse, which is brisket and cheddar. Always a hit in my book. Staff was super friendly and I love the coca cola machine that allows you to concoct your own drinks.”

“This church is a wonderful place to be. A beautiful building filled with such loving people. Right when we moved here we felt very welcomed. I love coming together as a congregation and singing hymns and hearing speakers teach about Jesus Christ and his gospel. It's been so nice to attend Sunday School after and my kids enjoy going to their classes as well. We always leave feeling we have learned more about being a disciple of Christ. “My daughter attended this school from 13 months old to almost 9 years old and our experience could not have been better. I must admit that the main reason we initially chose the school was because of proximity to home and ability to pick up late (by 6 pm), but we stayed so long because the teachers and staff are amazing. I honestly didn’t know anything about Montessori vs traditional school, but came to realize that my daughter is made for hands-on learning. Let’s start from the beginning: I give most of the potty training credit to her toddler classroom teachers. She has multiple food allergies, so being able to pack a lunch and have them heat it up was a plus. They took her allergies very seriously and understood that it is a serious medical condition, not a dietary or lifestyle preference. Early on, I noticed that all of the older kids in the school were such excellent speakers. When she started reading at such an early age and doing oral presentations, I appreciated that this school trains these kids to have a voice and learn the skills to engage your audience. They do journal work everyday. Whenever she would bring a completed journal home I would read it… it was always filled with poetry and sketches. Her teachers helped feed her passion for art and encouraged her creativity. She did voice, piano, dance, soccer, basketball, chess, and gymnastics through the school as well. I’m so glad she was able to spend so many years at The Montessori School at StarCreek.”

“I was interviewing with quite a few piano teachers by the time I decided to enroll in Nadya's school because of her expertise and experience in how to teach piano. We really like the way she teaches. She is very thorough when introducing new songs, making practice at home a lot less work and frustrating for my daughter and me. My daughter especially likes when Ms. Nadya makes up accompaniment parts to play along with her songs. Ms. Nadya is not only teaching my daudghter piano skills but also how to be patient and stay dedicated. Piano is not an easy skill but under the guidance of to Ms. Nadya my daughter is able to learn at a fantastic rate of progress.”

“Lovely park! There are many open grounds with small ponds around the park. Really good for walking or running too! There are a few closer batting cages and some are used for cricket as well in addition to baseball and softball. The open fields are used for soccer practice too! There is a lot of parking space, which is really nice. Overall, good place to spend time walking around and exploring.”

“If you have not been to Donut Kitchen in McKinney, Share Donut's blueberry cake donut with cream cheese is a MUST try. I still prefer Donut Kitchen, but Share Donut makes almost the same thing but way cheaper. It was light, creamy, not too sweat, its a real treat. They do not make a ton of them, but ( hey store owner, make more! they are awesome.) Wish they had the red velvet cream cheese in stock when I showed up, but for any locals, for sure try it out. Everything was great, Sausage Croissant, basic glazed, their special strawberry fresh cream and jam donut was also great. Everything was not too sweet and fresh. Highly rec, wish I was closer to share donut.”
