  I travel to Texas 1-2 times a year, and stopped in October & November 2019. Excellent everything! The food is great old-fashioned southern cooking, Peggy and the staff are friendly, and service is good - although naturally slower when the restaurant is full. Clientele are also friendly and will help out filling coffee and water when the staff are busy. (Wow) Coffee is excellent, I usually take mine light with lots of creamer and sugar. This coffee holds up to taking it light or to drinking black with a little sugar!! Went 4 times the week I was there - the chicken fried steak with gravy is superb. Definitely going back this December!

  Good home cooked meal. I'll keep being a return customer. The staff is always friendly.

  Whenever we have a get together, we always order their delicious pies in advance. I recommend the coconut or lemon meringue.

  Good food, friendly staff ,and still has a smoking section. I'm a non smoker, so I do not like that part of it. The food is great, the owner is great. The fish seemed too be the hot item.. I had chicken fried chicken. It was good. I would like too see them make the back section for the smokers . The flies was a problem for me,but nothing a few swatters,and fly traps cant fix. I di not want flies landing on my food ,plate,table,glass,etc...
