Cynthia is an amazing teacher she is very respectful, competent, and patient. I’ve had other voice teachers, she is unmatched. I take her for voice lessons and not only has my singing improved, so has my speaking voice. She has also been helping me with learning to sight sing. Others have noticed a positive change in my voice, both singing and speaking. I 100% recommend her!
I had a meeting with Cynthia to learn more about her and her business, and I was really blown away by how knowledgeable she is--I'm a (pretty lapsed) musician myself, I've got a few years experience playing piano and later trombone, and I think I've had full-time professors who knew less about music than she does, and that's to say nothing of how broadly she's actually studied, both on how to effectively teach (she can take you from two left hands to playing music that sounds good in thirty minutes, and she can keep you steadily improving at that pace) and on sound and the human body.
It's why she can teach you how to sound clearer and more confident when you speak--she knows what you need to do and consider to talk like you're one of the best public speakers.
Cynthia's amazingly knowledgeable and incredibly affordable, well worth your time!
Update
I've begun taking singing lessons from her as well, and I can only really reinforce what I've said already about her depth and breadth of knowledge. Her teaching style is very particular about teaching you how to understand your voice as a holistic byproduct of the way you breathe in and out and how you shape all of the body parts and organs involved in that process, and that's more than just your mouth and vocal chords. I always felt that I had missed my chance to develop my singing voice years ago, but practicing has left me with the very real impression that I could actually develop a good voice! Strong recommendation to anyone wanting to learn to sing or improve their voice for speaking to check out Strike the Right Note.
I spent some time researching places for vocal lessons. I was looking for a good price and someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and not a chain store offering lessons. After checking out her website, I contacted Cynthia to set-up my lesson. She has been nothing but patient with me and teaches me patience with myself in addition to teaching me how to sing correctly and with ease. She has a lot of experience in training others and gives you many tools to be able to progress at home. I'd absolutely recommend giving her a try for vocal or piano lessons.
What a great experience! My son...12, started playing the piano with two hands after the first lesson. He made great progress in a short time. Counter moving hands, inverse cords, and it all sounding great. Cynthia was patient and kind about the mistakes and kept Him going in the right direction. She can help any student make music!
Thanks
James
