Paul Allen Shearer LPC

I'm not really sure what I was looking for when I had my first appt with Paul. I know I just want to be the best husband/father that I can be. When I have talks with Paul, it feels like I've known him for years. Either we are a lot alike or he's a psychological Jedi. Either way, I leave feeling better, relieved, aware of my strengths and conscious of shortcomings.

I look forward to my time with Paul. It's a "judgment free zone." Having s place like that has to be healthy for the male brain (Not chauvinist remark, but I literally can only speak for my male brain) .

I'm very happy that our paths have crossed. I don't know how long this journey will last, but I'm going on a year with no regrets. Why can't I quit you Paul? Ha! I've got jokes! ;)

In sum, he's a great listener, a realist and not afraid to say it like it is rather than just tell you what you want to hear. Looking forward to the next session already.

Mid 2016 I was court ordered to attend counseling and made the PERFECT decision to choose Paul. Now, almost a year later I'm incorporating what I've learned from him in my everyday life. With counseling being court ordered, I went into it with the mindset of just getting it over with, with no idea what impact it would leave on me. Truly blessed to have been able to work with this man. 10/10 :)

Paul is a wonderful, down to earth guy who helps to explain things in a way that I can understand. He's patient and I feel like I have the tools to resolve my problems much easier. I will continue seeing him for supportive visits.
