VA North Texas Health Care System

I have received health care at Dallas VAMC for than 50 years. There has been tremendous improvement in quality health care since I first arrived (1972). I offer only praise for doctors, nurses, and staff for the extremely difficult work each does daily. When waiting, I do my best to remember that I am one among many patients. And that I am no more or less than the next person who needs health care. This helps me remain thankful and grateful for those who only want to help me and other patients.

The Community Care section of the VA is immensely understaffed. It takes hours of patience for days to finally get a person on the phone to arrange treatment. If you are fortunate enough to get Karen on the phone you have won the health care lottery. She should be in charge of the division.
