Northwood Hills Elementary School

NHE is a great school. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The teachers keep in contact and updated on my children's progress in a timely fashion. They are all amazing and work great together. I will continue to keep my children in NHE.

Northwood Hills Elementary is an excellent school that offers students personal attention, differentiated instruction, an innovative curriculum, and extras including the "Think Tank", a math/science lab for STEM learning - the only full-time staffed lab of its kind in Richardson Independent School District (RISD). There's an active and highly-involved PTA that provides volunteer support and funding for extras such as classroom iPads, field trips, and upgraded technology and playground equipment. NHE sits at the center of Northwood Hills, one of the prettiest and most community-oriented neighborhoods in North Dallas. Young families in Northwood Hills gather for playdates each month as well as social events for moms, dads, and couples. Being at NHE and in Northwood Hills feels like being part of a small-town community in the middle of the city.

Northwood Hills Elementary School is a neighborhood school in the mature and established North Dallas enclave of Northwood Hills. The school features a Think Tank (a STEM lab open to all students and teachers), a beautiful library, a gymnasium, cafetorium, music and art rooms, and traditional classrooms. As a gem in the Richardson Independent School District, Northwood Hills Elementary prides itself on a progressive curriculum achieving great results for its students. A dynamic and engaged principal, a strong PTA, and lots of neighborhood support keep Northwood Hills Elementary at the top of its game!
