Hyde Tammy LPC DBT-LBC

Best therapist and therapy group I have ever had. Surprised by the negative review, talk therapy isn’t part of skills group. That’s just how a skills group works, you have individual therapy as well for a reason. My experience has been nothing but positive and I would recommend Tammy to anyone.

Tammy Hyde is a phenomenal therapist. The negative review stating that she wants people on strong meds and doesn’t allow you to talk about your feelings is false. She can’t even prescribe medicine. She is supportive, honest, empathetic, and accommodating. Over the last 10 years, Tammy has helped me through school, deaths, relationships, and I wouldn’t be here without her. DBT changed my life and Tammy is exceptional at what she does.

To the person who said Tammy wanted them on meds: she is not a medical doctor and cannot prescribe them!!! I saw her for years and if anything, she wanted me on less medication. If you were in DBT skills group with her, that is not “talk therapy” it IS school, like you said. There are two components to DBT therapy, skills and individual therapy. Maybe you were confused about that. Tammy is an amazing person and I would literally not be here without her. She is warm when you need it but will call your BS if that’s necessary too. I will always be thankful for her.
