Dallas Home Fabric Center

I wish I could give Dallas Home Fabric Center 50 stars! We needed to recover and refurbish two 80+ year old chairs that belonged to my grandmother. My 86-year-old mother remembers them in her home growing up, so they are precious to me. We looked all over Dallas for just the right fabrics and found several that would do, but none we absolutely loved. Then we found Dallas Home Fabric Center and were blown away at the beautiful and plentiful fabric choices, far more than the other well know fabric stores put together! We actually had a difficult time making decisions from several we did finally absolutely love. Herschel and Sherry could not have been more kind and helpful in making suggestions, answering questions, and guiding us to the ultimate finished product we were confident we'd be happy with in our home.

The craftsmanship and workmanship on both chairs is phenomenal, and we are thrilled with the outcome. The chairs are once again beautiful and proudly residing in our living room. The original design and feel of the chairs was maintained while the springs were retied, cushions replaced, and upholstery expertly done. My mother will be thrilled to see them, and I think my grandmother would love that her chairs are restored to their previous glory and being loved and used once again.

Thank you, Herschel, to you and your team for giving us back our chairs in such excellent condition. We are beyond grateful for the care you took to restore our heirlooms, and we could not be happier with how they turned out.

Edited to add: My mother saw the chairs on Christmas Day and was astonished by how great the old chairs looked. She was so happy to see them looking beautiful again and ready to serve for another 80 years!

We were purchasing a new home and had several pieces to re-upholster. We took them to Dallas Home Fabric Center, and they did a fantastic job. The work they did was showroom ready and perfect. When there was a delay in getting the house done, they worked with us on keeping our ready furniture there for a while.

We 100% recommend them. They are the best at what they do, and if you want your furniture to look twice as expensive as what you pay, this is your place.

My husband and I had our arm chair reupholstered by Dallas Home Fabric Center. DHFC did a beautiful job and we are extremely happy with the end product. We love our improved chair.

Upon walking inside we were blown away by the selection of fabrics and the prices. Along with the great selection, the owners and employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We brought our chair to be reupholstered the weekend of New Years and waited 5 weeks. I did have to call to check the stats on the 5th week. Upon calling I was told the chair hadn't even been started. I requested the chair be finished in 2 days and they did just that. So if you do get something reupholstered be sure to let them know you'd like it done as soon as possible.

All in all, we will use DHFC for any future fabric purchases and reupholstering needs. No need to go anywhere else in the metroplex. They have it all.

I was looking for a place to have custom counter stools made for my kitchen, and a friend suggested I go to Dallas Home Fabric Center. I'm so glad I did! I took in some pictures of a chair I liked, and Hershel and his staff created exactly what I wanted. And his upholsterer is truly a master craftsman! The chairs are tufted with a curved back, and his work is precise and each chair is identical in every detail. I highly recommend them for any project, and plan on using them again soon for custom dining room chairs. They are the best and great to work with!

On Monday, May 23, I took five old Chrome Craft chairs to Dallas Home Fabric Center to be upholstered. I had priced the work at two other places, but after talking with Herschel, and seeing examples of their work, I knew that Dallas Home Fabric Center was the best company to use. Herschel explained several options for upholstering the chairs; the advantages and disadvantages of each option. All of the chairs are now completed (it only took 4 days) and they look like new. I am extremely pleased and I highly recommend Dallas Home Fabric Center.
