If you know real New Orleans food then you are going to enjoy this place. Not Louisiana but Home cooked New Orleans Gumbo with hot sausage balls and fresh shrimp. The hand rolled hot sausage shows dedication to their craft. The gravy in the Etouffee is creamy and full of butter.. the food is flavored so take your mess before you eat, but indulge in the flavors of that beautiful city. Hats off to you Sweet Grass... We've been waiting for you!!
Excellent food, and very, very, very clean restaurant. The prices were good as well, the only thing that is needed is more staff personnel and organization on filling the orders (cashier is needed only to cashier plus a number receipt system for order) Giving 5 star's because the Food is worth the wait. The restaurant is Extremely Clean.
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I just moved to Dallas from NYC and the salmon and crawdad etouffee with rice was the equivalent to a home cooked meal that your grandmother would make you. You know the kind of meal - it makes you feel safe, warm, loved and cared for and it's still your favorite meal even if it's been 10 or 20 years since you've last had it. Sweet Grass Market to me feels like a hidden gem. It's an unassuming, cute little spot that you might have mistaken for a small grocer, but it's that and so much more. You might pay more than you would for another fast casual restaurant but the quality of the food, and the craftsmanship they put into cooking it is better than any five star restaurant you're going to find. Also, the service was so helpful, friendly and kind. If you're thinking about trying this place out, do it!!!!
This is such a great place. It's brand new and hasn't even been open for a full 3 weeks.
I am so excited to see how they grow even more. They seem to be a hit because they can sell out pretty fast of their amazing authentic NOLA food. Gene and Latoya are so kind. I am so happy this place in my community.
It is a must go
