28 years and Dr Gunby is still my "go to guy"...the best...I was referred to Dr Gunby and he has been there whenever I needed him as a steady source of wisdom, information and understanding, don't believe I could have found a better ob/gyn and all around source of information.
I'm so thankful to have Dr. Gunby as my OB/GYN. He is considerate and kind. He was so encouraging at my last visit about finishing grad school. Why wouldn't you want to go to a doctor that was one of the first to be apart of a first ever uterus transplant procedure at Baylor - just last year ??! He rox !
Dr. Gunby is my personal hero! Not only did he deliver my 3 children, now ages 12, 25, & 26, but he also saved my life, in 1990, after I hemorrhaged a few days after I gave birth to my second child and lost more than 1/2 of my blood. He literally had tears in his eyes at my bedside, just before I went into shock and passed out! When I found out I was pregnant with this baby, just 3 months after I gave birth to my first child, I had just left my job to become a stay at home mom. Unfortunately, this meant I had no medical insurance. When I went into labor, Dr. Gunby asked me and my husband to meet him at his office, rather than at the hospital. He stayed us until it was almost time to give birth--literally hours on a SATURDAY!! He did this in order to save me money on my hospital bill. Oh, and he did not charge me for his services when I had to go back to the hospital when I hemorrhaged!! NO ONE does this!! Dr. Gunby goes above and beyond, and truly cares about his patients. To this day, I tell everyone about his selflessness and great big heart. He's always calm, quiet, and respectful, and who else but this man would a woman want to have on her side in child birth? Thank you, Dr. Gunby. You will never be forgotten by Mindy Farris and family!
