Very pretty park, just needs to be cleaned. There was litter around the water

Great place for a picnic or just to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. Long grassy area alongside the lake area with trees and a few benches. No playground or bathroom area, so not the most family friendly unless living in short walking distance. One end of the lake has a cool black hole thing. Park is also close to Turtle Creek trail and a few blocks from Katy Trail so it’s a good place to start on a walk or run.

This is a perfect little neighborhood park that I visit with my dog almost everyday! The grass is well maintained, people are generally friendly, and it’s never crowded. There are provided trash cans and benches as well! It’s right in the middle of a wealthy Highland Park neighborhood so feels very safe. Lots of people fish here! Only negative is that the lake water can sometimes smell pretty bad, but that’s not unexpected or unbearable.

Nice and beautiful neighborhood, great for outdoor things.
