Excellent customer service, they do pay close attention to your needs and help you. Not like other box stores ending with emy who don't give a hoot about their customers. They are more expensive but you end up with quality products many of which are made in the us and last a lot longer than their red star counter parts. Great return policy which is more than 90 days. It tells you how well they stand behind the quality products they sell.

I have to say I'm a little partial to REI because I grew up in Seattle, where it was born. That aside, REI is the Mercedes of outdoors stores. They have the top quality gear there for the most serious outdoors people. Whether you need a tent, a jacket, clothing, bicycle, kayak, etc...they have it there. Great selection. Knowledgable staff that can outfit any adventure.

This was my first experience in this store and the employees were amazing! Esme helped me, went above and beyond with giving me advice, informing me about my first pair of hiking boots. She's very knowledgeable and very patient. I was feeling rushed because it was close to closing time but she helped me feel more comfortable to stay and continue to try on and feel out my boots, instead of rushing me out, so she could leave. Preston, gave me a fun experience at the register. I appreciate conversations. Especially, again, when it's closing time and no one is rushing me out. On top of that, I'd like to apologise to Preston, because I completely forgot I hit the email receipt and I came back and asked for a print out. That was my bad, Preston! Overall, the store was clean, followed all safety precautions and most definitely made me feel welcome.

The younger gentleman in the shoe department was awesome! Female working in women's section needs a career change, less than helpful. Dawn was amazing! She helped us with a lot, had fantastic advice and was beyond helpful.

Loved this store, came across it when I went to half priced books. You can find anything you need for an outdoor adventure.
