Shorty's Cookin Country

Don't let the storefront fool you, this was absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had. We like mom and pop places and this one does not disappoint. Friendly staff and owner. Regulars coming in ordering their "usual." The french toast was the best I have ever had (including my own) and they got my eggs right, which is a big deal to me. I'm picky about breakfast and this was wonderful. We aren't local, but we will definitely be back each time we visit our daughter. Thanks again!!

The friendliest place I have eaten at in a long time. The man and woman running the place were super friendly and knew almost everyone in the place.
Breakfast plate was delicious, they threw on gravy for no extra charge, and it was on my table in about 10 minutes.

My husband enjoyed his French toast, I didn’t care for the gravy too much, food needed some more seasoning for me. Good customer service, peacefully quiet enough to enjoy your breakfast/brunch

This place was a bit hard to spot from the road, as you can see from the photos, the sign is a bit faded. It's in a little space in a very unassuming area of town but fret not, Shortly will greet you when you come in and puts you at ease. Once inside, it's like you've been transported back in time to your country grandma's kitchen. It's as cliche and kitschy as you'd want it to be. It's a family run place and you can tell that they love their little business. Food is unpretentious and good. Do them, and yourself, the favor and go visit soon!!

I was nervous about eating here at first. I won't get into that because it's nothing to do with that.

We wanted to try this place based off the reviews and I must say we were really happy we came here. The breakfast is delicious! Omg, the gravy is so good!!!! Shorty's has great coffee as well.

The waitress that took our order was really nice. She served our food and she never came back again. Shorty (overheard him tell a customer that he was Shorty) did come to refill my coffee. Thank you!

I love the fact it's a family owned restaurant. I love the decorations as well. I took two photos of the signs that I really loved. One because my husband continues to defend our Country and the other because it made us laugh!

We want to bring the rest of our family and friends to try all that delicious food!
