My wife and I attended a sales presentation and were very satisfied with our experience.

Obviously their goal is to make a sale, but they weren't aggressive and were incredibly friendly. We decided at the end of the presentation that it wasn't the right time for us to purchase their membership, and they were completely understanding and still professional and friendly. It was nothing like the aggressive, rude sales tactics I've had people tell me they experienced with similar companies.

I do question the savings they advertise that you receive as a member. Looking at some of the reservation fees and costs/night - most of the deals seemed pretty similar to what we've seen through travel agents and travel websites (and those services don't require the membership or annual fee). GEVC will have more savings, but you're also paying more.

Overall, if my wife and I had more disposable income and more PTO, we would have paid to be a member because in the long run we felt the program would have paid for itself and it would have made vacationing easier. We just opted not to join because we were afraid we would be getting a membership and not be able to use it consistently enough to get our money's worth. For the limited amount of vacationing we currently do we can meet those needs with travel agents.

I'd recommend the experience to anyone who has 2 hours to spare. You get a few decent vouchers and gifts with no strings attached and (Free Rangers tickets, a dining card, etc.) and just maybe their service will fit your needs.
