  I moved to Texas a year ago with all my neuro medical records in hand. I had 3 back surgeries before moving here and thought I was done. My pm doctor sent me for a MRI due to the fact I was having a high level of lower back and leg pain. When he reviewed the results I was told to find a neuro surgeon for a consultation. Well I just googled surgeons near me and Dr Orozco came up. I read the reviews and made my appointment. He sent me for a few more test and it was decided I need a 360 fusion on L5/S1. I left the office thinking to myself this man has got to be crazy ! Who works on a back from the stomach ! Well after much research I agreed. His bedside manners are phenomenal ! He explained everything and was willing to answer any questions I had. Surgery went fine and I am now a week post op and at home resting. I don’t think it gets any better than Dr Orozco and his staff ! Thanks for taking care of me ! ( Claudia Smith )

  Dr. O is amazing. He did an emergency surgery on my mom. Her T-11 vertebrae was fractured. He had a great bedside manner and explained everything before the procedure so she understood .

  At the end of March of this year I had an instance where a continuing and unresolved lower back issue “flared up”. After receiving, for the third time at an emergency room, the response of “ah, it’s just a lower back strain, here take some of these” (paraphrasing), I finally put my foot down and demanded more imaging be done. That resulted in a brief stay at Baylor, Scott & White Lakepointe hospital and was my introduction to Dr. Orozco. Since meeting Dr. Orozco, I have been under the care of a great neurosurgeon that I feel blessed to have been able to encounter. His team at Texas Brain and Spine is an “A-Tier” team. Dr. Orozco ordered all conservative treatment options, which did not yield any reduction in pain, before concluding that spinal fusion would be the next avenue. I decided to go that route and had surgery almost 1 month ago. He fused 2 levels (L4-L5, L5-S1) again at Lakepointe Hospital. After one month I have experienced a significant reduction in both nerve pain severity and local pain severity. While in the hospital, I saw Dr. Orozco every single morning (including a Saturday). I would not change anything about this experience if given the opportunity. People have different levels of sensitivity, different needs, and differing perspectives when assessing opportunities and experiences. My perspective is that I have been provided care by the best possible team for me personally. Thank you Texas Brain and Spine! Thank you Dr. Orozco!

  I received a L4-L5 microdiscectomy and life is a whole lot better now. Dr Orozco patiently answered my many questions and really listened to me throughout the process.
