“I was a former patient of Dr. Brown and love him, his wife and his entire staff. When the practice was taken over by Smile Well, I wasn't sure I would be as comfortable. I WAS WRONG!! The office manager, Yvette, was so pleasant and accommodating. The dental assistant, Brandy, was great. She even inquired about my husband who had some previous medical issues. It was appreciated. Dr. Lisa was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and effective - she also had cool eyeglasses! But the star of my show was Jocelyn, the dental hygienist. So focused on me the patient, so efficient and painless. I was so comfortable that we discussed topics having nothing to do with dentistry. She even went out of her way to successfully assist me with a totally unrelated issue. Thank you so much!! As a rule, I don't like anything or anyone related to dentistry. The clinical staff and front office staff there were all very caring and professional; however, I had a terrible in-person experience with of all people the office manager! There are some things in life that I will begrudgingly tolerate, but I refuse to suffer on account of someone else’s disrespect or rude behavior. Today fortunately is a bright new day and when one door closes trust that another is already opening with an abundance of new opportunity. By the grace of God, I happened upon the practice of Mariya Barnett, DDS Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Every review I read about the level of care, patient experiences and service set the bar pretty high among my expectations. And to top things off the office is only minutes from my home. So, when I finally went in and had the chance to meet the office staff, they made me forget about my past experience and made me feel right at home. Before the procedure started all of my questions were addressed and detailed explanations regarding next steps were provided. The level of care given to administer what I would describe as a pain free yet thorough regimen of dental treatment was just what I have come to expect and was just what I received. Thus far I have had two fabulous visits at this office and look forward to my next appointment. “I've had two root canals (different teeth) with Dr. Mercedes within the last 8 months. I was very impressed with the level care and professionalism I received from the Dr. Mercedes and her staff. Prior to each root canal they explained my options and recommendations. On the day of surgery they went back over my procedure and explained everything in an easy manner. “I know for a fact this is the best dental place anywhere around DFW. The doctor and staff are absolutely five star. I called on a Sunday because I had a broken tooth and I was in extreme pain, they told me to be there at 1:00. I went in everything was done by 2:15 and I was out the door with my tooth pulled. I have the biggest fear of the dentist and everything that was done there put me at ease.
