“This place deserves a 5 star rating. My wife and I tried Mr. Max for the first time today and we have decided to make this our go-to spot for Japanese food (if only we had known about them sooner!). The atmosphere feels very authentic and you can taste the passion that the staff puts into the food. We had the grilled squid, karaage chicken and their pork curry and it was fantastic. “We went last minute for my daughter's birthday for a party of 13 without a reservation and the owner/manager was way more than accommodating. She made a few moves and was able to get everyone to sit together. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The menu is basic but the food did not disappoint. To top it off, her and her staff sang happy birthday to my daughter. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had considering the short notice we gave this wonderful woman.
