We moved to the high school for health professions, located at Gaston in Washington downtown for my senior year, 1978. I was able to obtain my certification for dental assisting when I was 17. Also received a Dallas Mid-Winter clinic presentation for the importance of medical history in the dental office. I was the youngest first place winner that ever won the award! Most of the other candidates were in college. I got college education while I was in high school! Certified, and awarded! I thank the Dallas independent School District for their offerings to help my career advance!”
