“I've been a client of Sandra Larson for over a decade. She's a lovely and kind woman, who has a true gift! We originally reached out to Sandra when our beloved dog, Pippa, passed away. My wife was so heartbroken I was willing to do and try anything to help her. They had a very special bond. On a referral, I contacted Sandra for a session. I honestly didn't expect much, but when Sandra starting telling us that Pippa never left my wife's side when she became very ill with cancer, she got my attention. But when Sandra told us Pippa loved sharing my wife's popsicles during her chemo treatments my mouth fell open. I couldn't believe it. During that session, Sandra continued to tell us very personal and specific information that nobody could have known about my wife's relationship with Pippa. When I asked her how she know that, Sandra simply told us 'Pippa told me'. Just knowing Pippa was happy and really communicating with us, helped transform my wife's grief. We were so very grateful that we contacted her for that first session. Since that session with Sandra, we've had many, many more. She's helped us with behavior issues with our other dogs over the years, and also helped us transition Buddy when he became very ill. “I am so thankful and want to share about the level of care given to my son at Excel Center. My son has been under the care of the administrative leadership and staff at Excel Center for mental health and this is his fourth visit. Most important is with each time that he is come he has made significant progress. He audibly uses some of the coping skills that they have instilled in him. And we understand that this is a journey. The staff listen they speak to us and not at us. My son feels safe, and heard which is important to his progress and growth. I have brought him back to Excel because the director Stacy has truly guided he and I on this journey toward wholeness with mental health care. It is also important that the provides a continuity of care. It is critical to me that everybody who comes in contact with my son understands and is willing to provide the level of support he needs given how they encounter him. Everyone has been excellent this includes the driver, the nurse, the doctor, and the therapists. Everyone there is truly offered support and affirmation. I have made several recommendations to other families who have had similar needs for mental health support and have brought their young people to the center and have come away with confidenc e.”
