I don't understand all these reviews about the staff being rude. My son has been a patient of Dr. Akin's for going on 9 years now and I cannot recall a single time the staff has been rude. Sure, some things take longer than others, but if you're nice to them they reciprocate. Dr. Akin is amazing, we've seen him in public and he remembers my son; it always feels personal, and that's what you want from someone you trust to help you keep your kid healthy. Not sure about all of these bad reviews, but you guys are awesome in my book!
I do not understand the rating on google for this location. Dr Akin is absolutelt amazing and thoughtful. He directly speaks to my children and involves them. Even during emergency visits where I am scared of my child's fever or cough and Dr. A wasnt in the staff has given me strength and explained everything thouroughly. I know for a fact my children are in great hands coming here. I am so glad we found this place to treat our four little pumpkins.
Great pediatrician, my son has been a patient for over 8 yrs with no problems
My husband and I have been taking our children to Dr Akin for the last 14 years. My oldest son was 6 months when I started taking him to Dr Akin. He had been in and out of the hospital since he was born and his previous pediatrician, who is very well known and loved by many who say he is a great doctor, wasn’t doing anything to help MY son get better. As soon as Dr Akin saw him, he not only educated us as parents about his condition and how to care for him, he also treated his condition and decreased his hospital admissions. He is now a healthy teen who enjoys playing sports.
My kids never feared going to their pediatrician. They looked forward to seeing him and at each visit played hide and seek with him. Now they are teens and don’t play hide and seek, but they still look forward to seeing their doctor. ?
Dr Akin often has medical students in his office. Whether they’re nurse practitioners in training, doctors in training, or medical assistants in training, it is evident that he is also passionate about teaching future medical professionals.
As many parents are, I am an overprotective parent who doesn’t trust just anybody to care for my kids. I can say that I fully trust Dr Akin. He has been a great blessing to our family and we are forever thankful for everything he has done for our kids.
