Surprisingly good tiny museum. Much improved. Lots of interesting southwest history and artifacts. Curator is knowledgeable and helpful. Watch the video they play of sw history.
Very nice, FREE museum about the life and interactions of the original inhabitants of this region, the peoples of the Mimbres and Mogollon that often are overshadowed by the history of other tribes; and the grand Pueblo cities and civilization.
Small but likeable. Located conveniently if you are going out of town over the mountain. A good introduction to area ancient history. God price too... Free!
Small museum, but very informative for the El Paso area. This museum focuses on the indigenous people that lived in the surrounding area from the end of the ice age, through to the Spanish settlers.
I give it five stars for effort, their dioramas, and the hiking trails.
Astounding place. Displays are excellent. Explanations are fantastic. Pottery is wonderful. They have a one hour movie that was fantastic. Staff was at a meeting so Mary the security guard helped us, started the movie and let us buy hats when the store was closed. She was super helpful. The state of Texas has built a freeway absolutely blocking the entrance to this museum with no way to enter or exit if you are coming to El Paso or trying to go north when you exit. Inexcusable to not provide an ingress and egress.
