Ayy mama!! Seafood & Taqueria

Was there for a late lunch. Food was probably a step above a traditional Mexican food restaurant. Dishes are served with steamed rice with veggies. Did not see any refried beans. Charro beans on all our dishes. The food was very good. I will definitely be returning. The place was small but it was nice for the time of day we were there. The food was fresh and very tasty. The staff is very nice. Served peanuts to the table when seated. First for us.

The shrimp boil had a great sauce but I didn’t really like it with hot dogs instead of sausages and it had frozen corn instead of fresh (not my fave) my husbands enchiladas were so spicy he couldn’t really enjoy them and he’s Mexican lol but they were pretty. The chips were stale bagged chips. For the price of guacamole and chips they should be freshly fried or at least not stale. I couldn’t eat them so that was a waste of money. The place is charming though and the waitress was super nice.

You guys! Why are you not eating here? Ayy Mamas is absolutely fantastic. The guacamole is better than the stuff they make at the table at Uncle Julio's. The shrimp tacos are amazing. They have three hot sauces that are all super tasty. The service is friendly and fast. We are lucky to have this place here in Ferris.

This restaurant wants to set itself apart; they've added an upscale spin to their dishes in taste and presentation. Their chicken flautas were delicious and so was their salmon platter. The customer service was superb. Unfortunately, they don't sell bottled Cokes. I took one star off because their sweet tea is not brewed; I'm almost certain I was served powdered Lipton tea. I'll definitely be back and will update my rating if necessary.
