Clean facility and friendly staffs. I've seen nothing but friendly, happy and caring staffs here to my mom and other residents.

So you are reading reviews of nursing homes trying to figure out which nursing home is right for your family member. For every 3 good reviews you read, there is a bad review that causes you alarm. And the bad reviews will usually wind up saying something like: "if you love you parents, don’t send them here!” Scary right? Well I can not speak to those bad reviews. I often wonder if they are real or written by disgruntle employees or unrealistic family that are going through the most stressful experience in their lives. Likewise I am leery of the glowing reviews because I wonder if they were written by management or owners of the nursing homes friends. And over hanging all of this is the fact that you are scared to death of making the wrong decision. I get it. I was in your shoes and still am. I cannot speak to the other reviews and if they are real or not. I can only speak to my own and guarantee that the following review is 100% real and I have no current affiliation with this Spanish Meadows and I am not in the medical industry. I am commercial real estate broker. My father was a resident at Spanish Meadows for the last 8 month until we had to move dad to a new facility due to an unforeseen issue that had zero to do with Spanish Meadows.

If you read nothing beyond this point then let this be your take away: Spanish Meadows is absolutely wonderful!!!! They exceeded my expectations in EVERY way. My father was diagnosed with alcoholics dementia. Dementia is not an easy disease to manage. Dad is also being fed through a G tube or peg tube. Medically speaking I was very please with dads care. If the man farted the wrong direction, they called me. Conversely those of my family members that did not wish to be bothered, were not. Every time a medical issue came up, they reacted appropriately. I never had to worry about dad being taken care of. In short I slept very well at night knowing the Spanish Meadows staff was tending to dad's needs and therapy.

The facility has gone through a very nice remodel, which they seem to be close to finishing. It always seemed very clean to me. The staff is extremely friendly and beyond kind. You can tell they REALLY care for their residents. And they put on a HUGE thanksgiving day feast the weekend before the holiday. They have lots of activities for the residents. I even brought up my dog to visit dad and did not get any flack for that. (Obviously I did that only a few times in a controlled manner that did not affect others.)

There are a lot of brand new nursing homes that look amazing. Spanish Meadows is an older design, but as I said above is completing a very nice remodel. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter what the building looks like. The staff is what makes a nursing home work. And I cannot imagine a better nursing home staff! They are all amazing. I would single a few employees out for going above a beyond, but it doesn’t seem fair to the rest who were all just wonderful. You will not be sorry if you choose Spanish Meadows for you family member. Good luck and God bless!

Transferring G-Mom to Spanish Meadows was one of the best decisions we made. After breaking her leg, intense therapy was needed to get her back up and around. Entire administrative folks, nursing staff, nursing aids and PT personnel were all awesome. The facility also had a nice smell and the Thanksgiving feast for family and friends was outstanding making all feel welcome. Thanks SM folks, we highly recommend.

Mom was transferred to Spanish Meadows last night from Memorial Hermann hospital. I gathered a few of her things as she will be there a few weeks for therapy and dietary concerns. After getting there this morning, I was floored at how cooperative, professional, and FRIENDLY everyone was from the front desk to the cleaning staff. This is literally one of the best Rehab/Nursing Homes I have ever been in. Thanks to all of you for your great work. It does really mean a lot.
