I got pulled over by one of the Cops but I deserved it.He treated me nice and with respect.He seemed like a great Cop.
Yeah... No! Police in this country are absolutely NOT poorly trained. They do, however, have much more on their hands then they are capable of doing properly! There is so much more we should do to support them, including publically praising police when right is done and busting specific departments when wrong is done. In this instance I'm wondering... does the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office have a number I can call to get more of these bumper stickers?
Just wanted to thank an officer that saw my parents and I stopped in our separate cars on Hwy 99 heading North from New Territory early Tuesday morning during Hurricane Harvey. He was going southbound and stopped to tell us the road was open ahead and asked us where we were going.
We told him we planned to get off at West Airport and take it to US90A. He told us not to do that as the road was flooded (West Airport) and to take the South Mason exit and work our way back on West Belfort. I did not get the officers name, but I am very grateful for our chance encounter. His instructions safely guided us to our destination where we were able to ride out the remainder of the storm in safety. We did not have to drive through anymore standing water to reach our destination thanks to him.
To that unknown officer and the rest of the department thank you very much for your efforts during the Hurricane. I can only imagine how things may have fared differently if not for our encounter. My only regret is that I did not think to ask for your name so that I could thank you personally. I can only hope that this will suffice. Thank you!
