This county office is very well run and managed. The check-in staff that I interacted with after reaching the office was surprisingly extremely professional, pleasant, and courteous. Initially I met with the security officer who then guided me to the lady at the window. After you wait your turn, another lady calls you in when its finally your turn. All these 3 staff members scored very high for how they treat the people visiting the office.
After briefly checking out the feedback on social media, I was quite apprehensive about how many interaction was going to go down but it was contrary to everything what I had been told or what I had read online.
The appraisal review board meeting was very well run. The key thing is that you need to bring at least 4 copies of documented evidence supporting your argument(s). Out of these 4 copies - 1 copy for the Appraisal board person, 2 copies for the independent board panel members, and 1 copy for yourself to refer to when you are making your case.
After panel begins the proceedings, both parties - you as well as the appraisal party - get to make your case. The panel then deliberates among themselves and gives their ruling.
Remember - the key is documents/pictures/invoice etc. anything that supports your case and making advised number of copies so it shows you done your homework.

I just went to submit an UDI form for our homestead exemption. The lady who helped me was really nice and helpful. She made an phone call to make sure we have submitted all the required documents.
