Very decent trail with a minimal amount of challenges.
Helplessly hoping her harlequin hovers nearby
Awaiting a word
Gasping at glimpses of gentle true spirit, he runs
Wishing he could fly
Only to trip at the sound of goodbye
Pros:
It’s very secluded considering you’re in Sugarland. There is fishing access to the Brazos. Trails are well defined. Lots of wildlife. Good for hikers who want some seclusion.
Cons:
No parking near trailheads unless you want to park in front of someone’s house. We parked in a nearby church parking lot and walked to it. Trail floods in places when the Brazos is high. Not stroller friendly. Trails are hilly and can get very muddy with roots exposed. Mosquitos are a problem bc of river proximity.
