If tranquility and relaxation is what you're searching for, this place is really pleasing to the psyche. It was a most pleasant evening out.
Great place to go for a walk when it's nice outside. Great playground with shade. My family loves to go here on Sundays to spend some quality time out side
Beautiful huge park. Great for BBQ, birthday parties, bike ride, canoieng, kids play area (swings, slides, etc). Seating is good too. Walking or running trails are a plenty here. Safe, never heard or saw any problems. Has clean bathrooms. At night the covered seating area has lights.
Walk path around the lake is good for walking your dog on leash. Didn't care for the dog park - really mucky, small pond with no gradual incline, and two shower stalls. Dogs seemed really aggressive here and owners were completely hands off. Few of the dogs were attacking other dogs and the owners did not intervene at all. We and lot of people left because of it. Millie Bush Bark Park is way better. Liked the dog agility course.
Recently came here twice for art class. Such a pretty, well-maintained, serene park along a busy street. The large pavilion, restrooms and children's playground are all conveniently located next to the parking lot. The memorial honoring five branches of our military is on a tiny island on the end of the lake, connected by a short bridge. The walking path around the lake is, I think, one mile. The first time I came, saw butterflies, an egret and a quite untidy swan. Second time, last week, there was a pair of swans that took a swimming break before flying off!
Such a peaceful park with joggers, people eating lunch in the pavilion and the occasional big bird sighting. There's a posted alligator warning, but I didn't see any and that's fine by me!
