  If you love historical buildings with rich history you will love this place. Also, if you live the paranormal this is also a great place to stay. This hotel is supposedly haunted and has a great ghost tour you can go on that ends with a wonderful meal. But no matter what you are looking for you will find it here. From what we were told there is more paranormal activity in certain areas of the hotel than others. So if you are adventurous you can ask to stay in a room where there is high paranormal activity. Bit if you just want an elegant get away in a beautiful hotel that is rich with history you can ask to stay in an area that is not known to have paranormal activity. But whatever your reason for going. You will love this place.

  Old school classic Hotel Resort.So much History to soak up. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can just stay at the resort and have everything you need right at your hand. The pool has shade if you need or all the sun you desire. A tour of the museum in the basement is a must and if you can take the ghost tour you will not be disappointed. Deffently a five star in my book.

  We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Galvez! The hotel is beautiful inside and out! The pool is very clean. Valet guys and other staff are very nice and welcome you with a big smile. We were hoping to see some ghost activity but unfortunately did not. Maybe next time! Our room was a little small but we made it work just fine with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a baby! The absolute only thing I could complain about was the cleanliness of the room. It wasn’t bad but a little extra vacuuming and a magic eraser would fix it!
  
  I also want to say that my husband dropped his wallet in the hallway with almost $700 cash inside it. We had not even noticed it was missing before a housekeeper came running up behind us to return it. Losing that would have without a doubt ruined our trip. We will be back and we will spread the word that this is the best hotel in Galveston!

  This hotel has a rich historic feel to it. Very beautiful sight, right in front of the beach. Guest services were very nice, polite and caring. wish the room was a little bit bigger but other than that, everything was great! Even had cruise ship parking!
