  You choose meat and veggies..Buffet where they serve your friendly meal..I love the pork chops sweet potatoes ..Room mate picks out meal up for take out..

  Don’t let the outside small parking, keep you from finding a spot and going inside! Growing up in East Texas and standing on a dining room chair cooking in my grandmothers kitchen since I can remember, I never thought I would taste her home cooked meals full of soul and love again.... I have tried Soul Food restaurants all over the U.S.! Then I discovered Simps and all was right in the world once again! Yes, you stand inline to order, yes the ac could be cooler and the dining space spruced up but then the price of this “Amazing Home Cooked Best Ever Soul Food” price would increase too! Everything I’ve ever had is just as it should be... full of flavor, fresh and cooked perfectly!

  HWHAT!!! Soul food, that's what. Best food I have had in this area, even have to make a trip down when I am staying in Houston. Yes it's that good, portions are big, staff is friendly, service is quick.

  Family owned. Mac n cheese dirty rice cakes n pies. Nice portions. Wats not to like. Will definitely visit again

(409) 935-3200. Classic soul food fix. Came here after church on Sunday. My problem with Simp's is that you never know when they're open. They don't an "Open" sign, or if they do, it's not that visible. On top of that, when you go and order food, they make you not want to give them your money.
