No one wants to be in the hospital. It can be a traumatic experience. UTMB completely changes that experience. Whether it is an ER visit or hospital stay, the staff is exceptional! The care, compassion and dedication to make you comfortable and aware that you are and will be in good hands. I’m grateful to know if I need care that I can count on being in their care. GO UTMB!

Major surgery that required 3 days and 2 nights in the hospital. I encountered a variety of day and night nurses, technicians, and “food” service folks.

I found the nurses on 12 hour shifts to be of varied personalities and demeanors. Each provided top notch and educated services. I was encouraged to buzz for help each time they left.

The technicians visited every 4 hours, were efficient and skilled at their tasks. Pleasant with me and helpful with various things outside their immediate duties.

Food delivery was an absolute pleasure with one gentleman, the others were more like robots. Food quality was better than anticipated but not great beyond the entrees.

My doctor, Stephen Williams, is excellent in technical skills, communication, and humor. It’s obvious he is mentoring the residents in his ways, all were great (including doctor turkey baster).

From the moment I arrived I was treated with the most professional and caring staff. I was dropped off and picked up by a neighbor so I was there alone, and at 70 years old just a little nervous. Thankfully your staff made me as comfortable as they could and made me not think of the upcoming procedure. I made it through the surgery without complications!
