All models require a 20 inch lower unit except for the W-29 and W-33 which require a 25 inch lower unit. These pangas have also been powered with inboard shaft drives and inboard outdrives. Outboard motors power boats outfitted by Bayou to Bluewater.

The boats are lightweight yet tough and require less horsepower to operate than other designs of the same length. The delta pad hull feature provides very fuel efficient operation. All models are shallow draft and the slim design and sharp vee at the bow handle choppy water well.
