I attended the funeral of Jazmine Barnes. I was so stricken by the sheer brutality of her death versus the beauty with which Boyd Mortuary presented her body to the world. I was in awe of how she just appeared to be sleeping. So angelic. I viewed many pictures of her in life and thought she looked just as pretty in death. If I were to have funeral services whereby I was in an open casket, I most certainly would ONLY have Boyd Mortuary present me to the world for the very last time. I have never, in my 53 years, been so impressed and inspired as to contact a funeral home or leave a review. I’d never heard of Boyd’s before today. This 3rd Ward girl would have this Acres Home, home of Beulah Sheppard, mortuary give me my last hurrah! No if’s. No an’s. No but’s! #ConsiderMeImpressed

They are very nice here and make you feel very welcomed through your time of grieving. All the staff is amazing and understanding , they listen to all your request and needs.
The staff at Boyd's funeral home is amazing!!They go over and beyond to meet your expectations!!They are so patient and very kind!!We just buried my sister and Boyd's sent her home with a Bang..During the time of bereavement that will make u feel so loved..You will walk away feeling like family..Thank you and may god continue to bless y'all????????????

My mom had used Boyd Funeral home when her husband passed.In 2012 when my mother passed we also used Boyd. They were Fantastic. They helped my brother, oldest daughter and I decide what it was we really wanted. My mother looked so beautiful.It made me even sadder that she had left me. Boyd made sure everything we had decided on was done. I thank them so very much,much Love.!!
Everyone at Boyd was extraordinary. We truly felt Patricia and her staff cared for my mother and our family as if we were their own. Professional, compassionate, and thoughtful, down to the smallest details, best describes Patricia. We never felt rushed, all our questions were answered with the kindness that only comes from the heart. When you lose a love one, you need someone who understands your pain and does everything possible to help you through this time. For us, it was Patricia and her family who seem to always be there when we need help without ever having to ask. Our loss of our dear mother was immeasurable but everyone at Boyd gave us the solace we needed at this difficult time in our family’s life.
