Just a old cemetery back in a large grassy field . It has been a few years since I was last here.
cemetery is in great disrepair and severely overgrown. sad to see it has not held up against grave robbers, vandals and bad weather.
I flew my drone over the Hillendahl-Eggling (Blue Light) Cemetery near Bear Creek Park, founded in the 1850's. A fascinating piece of history, originally built by the pilgrims who colonized the Bear Creek area. This cemetery was located by a church, and it was part of a village that had to be abandoned after the pilgrims experienced constant flooding (go figure). Very interesting.
Park by pavilion 8 and cross the street. Walk past the gate into the clearing and look for the chain link fence to the back right side of the clearing. The head stone's were mostly moved because of theft and vandalism back in the 70s and 80s and then they fenced it off. The blue light was not swamp gas but rather the head stone's emitting a glow due to Germans prefence of Labradite stone. It was the moon's reflection bouncing off the stone's.
This place is in the middle of the woods and fenced off. The woods are supposedly haunted and possibly patrolled by grassmen and Interpol. Lots of strange things happening here. Proceed at your own risk
