The Barracks at Bamwood SRO

Great hotel with a pretty good continental breakfast! The room was fairly clean, but did experience a box of food leftover in the microwave and a used bar of soap in the box in the bathroom. Clearly, the sticker placed on the door to indicate a thorough inspection of cleaniness was not totally accurate. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, suites were spacious and we were satisfied with our stay.

We were able to rent a room at the last minute through the hotel website at a decent rate. It was pretty late at night when we arrived, but I didn't feel like we were inconveniencing the staff. As a Hilton Honors member, I also inadvertently rented a "premium suite" which came with some added amenities, which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious and included a mini fridge, a coffee maker, and microwave. In the morning we indulged in the complementary breakfast in the courtyard which had a nice selection of dry food items and made to order omelets that were very tasty.
Only giving 4 stars at this time due to the dated décor in the room, but it looked like they were working on remodeling and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Embassy Suites KC. Room was clean and we loved the extra space having a suite for our toddler to run around instead of going to a regular hotel and staying in a standard room. We especially loved the wet bar area with an extra tall mini fridge. It definitely came in handy with a toddler bringing extra food and drinks along. We traveled with another family and was able to get joining rooms. We especially loved the glass windows in the elevator. We loved the happy hour at the hotel bar and complimentary drinks for a certain time frame. We came from St. Louis to KC to use the pool for the weekend The pool was nice and warm and having a restroom inside the pool area was beneficial. The breakfast was delicious but wish the times went later than 9:30 am on weekends as we tend to sleep in. All in all, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Seems like a cool environment for people to live in. The shared bathrooms kinda syck

Some drama. Some days are better than others

I and my Wife stayed here for over 2 months and i can confirm to you that, its safe, peaceful and warm. Thanks John for always been there.
