  Dinning room could use an upgrade but don't let that deter you from some great food. Hubby loved the smothered oxtails❤. I had the fish and it was excellent. Smothered pork chops and gumbo tasted great!! Worth the drive from pasadena.

  The food was very good. With large portion for the entre. Clean small dining room. I recommend this place for comfort foods.

  The fried ribs,catfish and meatloaf is good. This is my to go place for soul food. Only issue is the wait. I parked and waited till my food was done. The owner insisted I pay prior but I refused. The food was ready within 15 minutes.

  If you've never tried Fried Ribs... do it here! Wow! I had the peach cobbler too, amazing! Service at noon was excellent. May God continue to bless this place and staff. They are being used in making a difference in the community! Mama Gale is a real saint living today! There is not alot of places you can go that can feed you and bless you at the same time! I'll be back again for sure!

  The staff and ownership are great at selling the product and making you feel welcome. The peach cobbler is off the charts good! Greens are awesome as well. I'd like to see Catherine's use a more authentic meat loaf texture and gravy. The meatloaf during my visit reminded me of pepper steak in texture and taste rather than meatloaf. Please loose the tablecloths considering they attract crumbs from previous guests dining experiences. Dining area should be cleaned more frequently.
