Terry Hershey Parking on Hwy 6

Nice place this goes for 15200 Memorial Drive parking lot including the parking lot on Memorial Mews.
However, DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!

NO MATTER WHERE YOU HIDE THEM THE THIEVES WILL FIND THEM!!!

EITHER LEAVE THEM AT HOME or CARRY YOUR WALLET OR PURSE WITH YOU ON THE TRAILS.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LACK OF BROKEN GLASS IN THE PARKING LOT.

OR LACK OF SIGNS THAT SAY NOT TO LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.

REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT IN A SMALL RURAL TOWN POPULATION 10.

IT HAPPENS ALL YEAR, So protect yourself from the headache in the HARRIS COUNTY PARKS.

AS THEY ARE ONLY AS SAFE AS YOU MAKE THEM. WHEN YOUR ON THE TRAILS PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

The most important thing to know when coming here is to DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.

IF YOU DO PEOPLE WILL BREAK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, and FIND WHERE YOU HID THEM.

DON'T BE STUPID AND THINK IT WON'T HAPPEN TO YOU.

IT'S NOT IF......IT'S A MATTER OF WHEN. And if you have left stuff in your vehicle, and nothing has happened yet. Then you have been very fortunate.

** The park is only as safe as you make it. Don't be a victim.

Don't bring cash,credit cards, social security cards,or anything you don't want to disappear.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS and you should be fine.

AGAIN if you FAIL TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE and your vehicle gets broken into, don't look for a Pity party for your own stupidity.

For Christ sake it's Houston people and not the best surrounding area of town.

My favorite spot! This area can take you to terry Hersey park and offers a unique view of buffalo bayou, or you can get roam the wetlands and hike near the Barker Reservoir. Some parts are currently under construction so be cautious of the warning signs!

Always the perfect spot to start your day, so if you're looking for a training ride, you might want to link up with a few others & fly down Hwy 6. If you decide for a family friendly ride this is also the perfect spot as an actual riding/hiking trail leads you into a cool and fun time away from major traffic.
