Good fishing, but no amenities for kids. Plenty to see here in the water.
Very peaceful and serene. Nature in the Sheldon area. Nice fishing as a side note.
Excellent place to bring the kids or dogs. Observation tower is nice way to see the surrounding area. Several trails around the fish ponds and prairies. Lots of information about the park and conservation effort.
This is a great state park with friendly staff. We saw lots of creatures. There were gravel walking paths and elevated trails where you can view the wetland prairie or the stocked fish ponds. We saw lots of birds, a couple of alligators in the ponds, fish and frogs. The facilities are pretty good with a nice outdoor restroom area.
