Judge Carter set the bar. I have never had a Judge personally thank me for “showing up” for my civic duty. He is one of a kind and the best we can hope for in this age of self service. As a parent of a person who has much to lose in the face of public scrunity, I can only offer praise.
I haven't been to jury duty for quite a while and I was assigned to this court. I was so impressed by Judge Carter it kind of renewed my faith in our judicial system. He takes his job serious and it's obvious that he is serving the public, not just taking a salary. It was an honor to perform jury duty in this court. I hope we can continue to see this caliber of attorney rise up through the judicial system.
