My husband has been a patient of Dr. Kaila since last year; every time we visit, the staff is very friendly, always available to answer your questions. Dr. Kaila is very thorough, very patient and is an excellent doctor to my husband. It doesn't matter how many questions I ask, she is always willing to take the time explain and be sure that I have the information I need to be sure my husband is taken care of at home.
I have been seeing Dr Kaila now for 3 years due to my pancreatitis. Throughout this whole experience she has always been there for everything I needed into taking the right steps to a better recovery. The 1 Star review someone wrote doesn’t even describe what a amazing doctor she is.
I read the previous review before deciding on a gastro, and still decided to see Dr Kaila as I thought the reviewer sounded a little unhinged and turns out the doctor is nothing like the reviewer described.
Dr Kaila is pleasant, yet very knowledgeable, and her staff are great. I started seeing her at Hermann Memorial after a visit to the ER there where I was in sever pain. The toxic water from Hurricane Harvey set off a colitis infection and I suspect exacerbated the forming of kidney stones. Of course it could also have been my unusually bad diet for the six months preceding the hurricane but she and other doctors believe that this cat 3 hurricane was so toxic it is very likely that being near the flooded waters caused the infection.
Dr Kaila did both my endoscopy and colonoscopy, and Ive had two follow up visits since the medication cleared me up. My stomach issues have cleared up with a minimum of medication. She reads test results with a critical eye: she decided to wait a few weeks and see on suspected hemorrhoids instead of doing a procedure as she thought they would clear up and they did. So, thanks Dr Kaila.
