This is hands down the greatest concept in Houston. The food is amazing and the story behind each dish is captivating. I will be back.
We loved everything here. Every course was really great, and in talking with Chef Rhoades some of his stocks take 4 months to make! The flavors in each dish were pronounced and meaningful, nothing was wasted, and the history associated with each dish was very interesting to learn.
Indigo is an amazingly personal experience. We've enjoyed their hospitality and dined twice in the past few months; first with the omnivore menu and then the carnivore. The background chef Johnny provides of each dish and its origins provides connection to the food and makes the experience that much more important. Make sure to end the meal with okra seed coffee. You won't be disappointed.
Loved this place. Houston. Generally love restaurants with limited options, tasting menus. Tell me what you make well and I’ll be more than happy to enjoy it. Place was great. Loved the atmosphere and the food.
Great food and a great EXPERIENCE.... This is about history, passion, and good food. Place is next to a convenience store in an old formerly abandoned building. Chef Johnny used to play on these streets growing up, and inspired him to open this restaurant in that same community. Fine dining in a totally unexpected neighborhood. Bravo for the effort!

Indigo (517 Berry Road, 832.582.6388) Since its opening last year, the 13-seater restaurant in North Houston remains a hot topic. Chef Jonny Rhodes' (Caracol, Oxheart) neo-soul menu is said to be poking fun at stereotypes, serving items like Affirmation of a Stereotype (chilled watermelon with fresh flowers).

Indigo is unique: a set, multicourse menu served in a modest space in a scruffy part of north Houston, each dish arriving with historical explanations and personal notes.
