Doctor Yen saw my mother who had symptoms that we needed to know if were due to cancer. He ordered imaging tests and thankfully the results were nothing to be worried about. Doctor Yen, however, did something that I saw very few doctors in the US or overseas do: He checked the imaging CDs and explained what the scan was showing, this calmed my mother (who can get very anxious about health issues) and also served to show his expertise in his field. He has excellent bedside manner and this extra service is why I rate him 5.

Enthusiastic, knowledgable and detailed. He's very friendly and thorough. I wish I could say the same about front desk. My recent experience was not pleasant. I called at 4 p.m and simply asked whether or not my labs are electronic or if I needed the paper copy. She said paper copy and immediately asked me to hold. I'm thinking maybe she's grabbing the lab order and preparing to fax or email it to me so I continued to hold for 20 minutes. Then she answered and hung up on me. I had to call again and again she quickly answered the phone saying "please hold". I told her I was waiting for 20 minutes then someone hung up on me she said again "please hold I have a patient in front of me." I ended up waiting until 5 p.m until their office closed. That's ONE HOUR ON HOLD!!When I'm there and check out it NEVER takes me an hour to schedule a follow up or make a payment. This honestly makes me feel like she's lazy and is done working for the day because it's close to closing time so she just puts everyone on hold until the office is officially closed. Oops we're closed try again tomorrow- too bad so sad kind of attitude. Stuff like this really makes me consider leaving to another office. It's unfortunate.

Been a patient of Dr. Yen since 2016 when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He's the same today as he was then - exceptional, dedicated, professional, compassionate, caring and always seeking knowledge on what's best for his patient! I can't imagine another oncologist caring for me. He is THE BEST!!!
