I was referred to Steve’s shop over 22 years ago and he is still my mechanic. My car was making a strange sound and all Steve did is he set in the car raised the engine. Then he went in his shop and came back and went under the car and did something. Today I don’t know what he fixed but when I left my car sound like a new car no more noise and the price was reasonable. I refer family and friends to him. He is very nice and professional, just be prepared for the jokes. This man knows his craft. Great work Steve!!!

Black owned business that I'm told has been here for over 10 years. I called the gentleman to change out my starter and he accomplished the task in 30 minutes with a reasonable price. I haven't had any buyer's remorse either. A great experience that didn't leave me inconvenienced.

I laugh just thinking about the proprietor of this shop! About 10 years ago, I was told by a friend, Steve was the best mechanic he had ever met. My experience is as follows. Not an impressive-looking high tech shop...pretty sure there were 6 or 7 cars in the front -- all with the hoods up. Don't recall what problem I had with that particular American truck I owned. Having learned nothing happens quickly in Houston, I waited patiently, just to talk to this man -- obviously working on all the cars by himself. I believe it was a bad starter and a short list of go-better parts that he accessed -- simply by listening to the motor. I would be required to pick them up, and then leave the vehicle. Fine, I'll play. After all, the man is by himself working 8 vehicles. Later, the same evening, my call came. I picked "Her" up, and was pleasantly surprised at what it didn't cost, and blown away by the new performance of my vehicle. 10 years and four vehicles later, I would not even consider taking my business anywhere else. Sure sometimes, you wait. Best to go home and get out of his hair (if he had any). But if you DO hang around, and you are welcome to, in the air-conditioned lounge or anywhere else in the typically-cluttered yet meticulously-ordered shop of his, don't touch anything; and be prepared for his subtle sense of humor, coupled with an occasional sneaky, slight-of-hand trick, which will leave you laughing long after you're driving away, another satisfied customer. Usually one day service, but if needed, ample inside secure storage is available. Steve has called to check on the well-being of my vehicle after being paid! Who does that?!? He has made my emergencies his own; and on more than one occasion has even come in on his only day off! Pull up on him one day with your needy vehicle. Be sure you take the stick out of your tailpipe; exercise a little patience; and prepare to trust a real mechanic, guru, comedian, magician for sure with your car!

Great work is where you find it.

Steve has done all of the work on all of my cars for at least the last decade. He is professional and quick. He tells me exactly what’s wrong with my car and if it’s worth fixing or not. I love when he tells me if my car is worth fixing or not because then i know it’s time to get a new car. He will also tell me when something is about to go bad and how long i have before I’m in jeopardy of causing serious damage. I especially like when he tells me how long i have to fix things on my car because I may not have the money at the moment but i can always come back when i do have the money this way. Steve is always trying to save me money and I appreciate that especially considering the bad stigma mechanics are given. He is truly and honest man. I have recommended Steve to all of my friends and now they are loyal customers too. Though unrelated, he is also very funny. He has this very playful spirit that is delightful especially when you’re stressed about your car not working. Thank you Steve for over a decade of work, honestly, jokes, and professionalism; you are the best at what you do and I applaud you!
