Excellent. Attended with a Scout troop and the staff did a great job. The museum CEO gave a terrific speech.
Extremely organized display. I was very impressed with the elegance and amount of material they had on display, such as the historical descriptions to the various types of aircraft in the hangers. The facility was very clean and fancy. The staff were very friendly and many of them are very knowledgeable on the subject matter and were more than happy to teach you more about anything that interested you. Very well worth the money. They even offered a AAA discount so it was $12 per adult. We ended up staying well over 2 hours. Definitely would recommend for anyone! They have educational displays for those that aren't experts in aviation and even interactive displays along with the explanations.
This place has a mix of War Planes, Texas History as well as Flight Science and Flight History. I can't say I have a love for Flight or it's history (still enjoyed the museum), and there was plenty of information as well as an up close look at these restored WORKING planes. We went on a day when they were flying some of the planes, so it was nice to see. There is a section for kids to enjoy and learn about how a plane fly's and how a pilot do their job. They even had a Flight Simulator, where you can sit in a booth, and attempt to land a plane from Hobby to Bush Airport. I didn't do very well, so don't let me fly your plane.... cause we won't make it!
Without a doubt the best private aerospace museum in the nation. The B-17 is out of this world! Lone Star is a very nice facility; you could eat off of their hangar if you wanted. The ALC is a wonderful place for kids to learn about aviation in an experiential environment. You have to see this place!
What an interesting, fun, and educational place. Top notch flight museum with dozens of planes to see. Very big facility, with lots of walking, plan accordingly. Can take 2 to four hours to see the whole place, just depends on how much you want to see.
