Guillen Auto Repair all Foreign/Domestic/Hybrid Cars

Wow! Who would have thought a small auto shop could do everything that your auto dealer does? I have a 2006 Volvo with fairly low mileage. I developed a leak in the cooling system and foolishly let it overheat one too many times. When the time came to get it inspected it failed. After numerous attempts to repair and correct the error code problem I took the car to Wilson. After he did a thorough check of the system including a pressure test on the cooling system he broke the bad news to me that I had a cracked or warp in the engine head. My worst fear!
I knew that I needed to change the timing belt in the engine within the next few months and I'd already been quoted a ridiculous price from the dealer.
Wilson removed the head, replaced the timing belt, 2 other engine belts, new water pump, new thermostat housing and thermostat, various other new parts, and finally a new re-machined head and all gaskets,etc.
All that and for less than the cost of replacing the timing belt at the dealer.
My car now runs smooth, getting around 34 MPG highway, and looks like I'll drive it another 100k miles.

Good with electrical and mechanical problems

I went in for a engine rebuild and I got a reasonable price and fast customer service. I didn't experience any problems so I will surely be going back whenever I have car problems.

Take your car to Javier. He and his team know how to fix it. The price is fair, and he will tell you what he's doing and why. There are no gotchas (you know, when you take your car in for one thing and the garage finds 14 other things you should do). I won't take my 7-year-old Maxima anywhere else. Neither should you.

If you drive an Audi or VW in the Houston area, this is the place to have your car serviced. I have been to a handful of dealers/mechanics and always left feeling ripped off, that is until I recently discovered Guillens Auto Repair. The owner (Javier) is extremely focused on customer service. The same day I dropped off my A4, he:

-did a full diagnosis of the vehicle
-called me to explain which things were more urgent, which to keep an eye on for later

Javier wants to do what's best for the customer - I told him we were looking to keep the car for another year at most and he told me exactly what work needed to be done and nothing more. I told him I was thinking about another Audi and he offered consultation about different years/makes and what I should expect to pay in yearly maintenance.

A great guy who works quickly but thoroughly, don't go anywhere else!
