Advanced Lifts installed a stairlift for my father and we were very pleased with the service that we received from Peggy and Debbie. They are very professional. We never had any problems with the stairlift- it was very dependable. When we no longer needed the stairlift, I contacted Advancelifts and they did an excellent job removing the stairlift and also reinstalled the original stair hand rails for us. i feel that they went above and beyond. I highly recommend them.
Shims are used to install an elevator when the support wall is not plumb. Denise’s elevator is attached to the support wall by over 40 lag screws ½” x 3”. The home is a new 4 story townhome near downtown Houston. The support wall is made of wood and connected to the structure of the home. If the home had severe settling where the foundation cracked and walls separated then there could be problems with everything in the house including the elevator. Normally customers purchase a yearly maintenance plan for an elevator.
We have been in business for 16 years.
We finished installing the original elevator for Kate’s mom, Denise on 04/17/13. On 09/14/13, due to a manufacturer defect her elevator stopped working. Immediately, at that time we started discussions with the manufacturer to take back her elevator. On 10/14/13, we spoke to the Chief Operating Officer of the manufacturer. On 10/15/13, the manufacturer sent two engineers down to try to fix the manufacturer defect. They could not repair it to our satisfaction. We continued to call the manufacturer on a daily basis until they agreed to take back the elevator on 11/12/13. Finally, on 12/19/13 the manufacturer told us how to send back the elevator. On 01/17/14, the manufacturer issued a refund. On 03/07/14, we received her new elevator. We installed her new elevator free of charge and never asked her for a dime. Denise was helping Kate move to Massachusetts when we installed the elevator. It was working when Denise came home and she told us how happy she was via text. One of four LED lights was out in the elevator, a replacement bulb was on order and we told her we would replace it as soon as it came in. There were no repeated requests to come out. Normally, a home’s finish work: putting in the elevator’s finished floor (standard elevator floor is recessed plywood), putting in the household door thresholds, etc. is done by a carpenter or builder.
We have never spoken to or met Kate.
I purchased an elevator from Advanced Lifts for my beach house. The elevator is beautiful, works perfectly and has made living in the beach house a dream. Their service was 5 star and they are extremely knowledgable and professional. They have gone beyond what I expected in service and supervised the installation from start to finish. I have worked with a variety of contractors during the construction of the beach house, but Advanced Lifts provided the best service of any contractor I worked with during my house construction. I would recommend them without hesitation. I simply could not be more pleased. I had several bids from other elevator contractor but Advanced Lifts provided the best quality elevator at an outstanding price.
