This place is incredible! My wife and I have now attended multiple events here and each time felt a warm welcome. Recently we perused a lovely art exhibit, Icons, and also attended a lute concert with a Grammy-nominated musician. I've heard from many families in our neighborhood who sent their children to the school here too and they had nothing but rave reviews of both the church and school. It really seems to live up to it's mission of being a steward for, and staple of the surrounding community.

We originally chose to send our children to St. Thomas because of the student to teacher ratio and the balance of education and spirituality that was portrayed. The pitch is always the same with regards to private education; “better education, one on one educational opportunities, community, education and religious growth and understanding”. However, very few seem to hit the mark and the skillful rhetoric fails to translate into realized experiences for the child. I’m probably a pessimist by definition, I seldom believe spoken words especially when I feel I’m trying to be sold and look for actions and works in order to come to my conclusion. With that said, St. Thomas has exceed our expectations in every aspect of children’s educational and spiritual experiences, from my daughter coming home and telling us she invited her teacher over for Christmas to our children singing Christian songs DAILY some of which are in Hebrew. Our children are excited about going to school every morning, they truly love their classmates, their teachers, Father Mike and their experiences at St. Thomas. On the occasion when I’ve attend chapel with my kids, the lessons given by Father Mike have blessed me in my daily life and the way he connects with the children to ensure their understanding is amazing. The innocence of child is a beautiful thing, they haven’t yet learned, for lack of better words “how to fake it”, if kids don’t like something you know it. Likewise, when your kids are happy are free to express themselves and feel comfortable around their peers and elders they are able to thrive, that’s what happen to our children at St. Thomas. You can’t see this in pamphlet or on social media, the experiences here at St. Thomas are real and genuine, my children are known, my children are loved, my children are building a foundation of education, spirituality, morals and values that my wife and I have instilled and that St. Thomas solidifies.

This church is open and welcoming to all people. The sermons and Sunday school sessions are always thought-provoking and challenge us to live out the true values of Christians. There is a sense of vitality that comes from the numerous volunteer activities and the additional art and music events outside of the usual services. It is a place where you can make life-long friends.

Both the church and the school champion Jesus' values: welcoming all people regardless of where they come from and who they are; fearless, learned teaching and learning; and taking joy from life and life's mission. Church staff and school faculty are completely dedicated to young people as individuals. This is a special place for families who want to pursue excellence without useless stress and bureaucracy.

Open, inclusive parish with thoughtful and generous people who are united in worship, especially when they disagree about politics, theology, or matters of opinion. Ever thoughtful and willing to ask hard questions that may not have easy answers or definitive answers at all, the people at St Thomas value and invest in their community through collections, contribution, tutoring, a Thrift Shop, a Fall Festival, as partners with McWhirter Elementary, Habitat for Humanity, Bay Area Turning Point, and Interfaith Caring Ministries. The church celebrates burials and weddings for non-members and has a first class after school and summer camp enrichment program for all ages. Art, music, and beauty are evident at every service. We can and are doing more together.
